Filigree Technique

Filigree is a meticulous and intricate jewelry-making technique, where skilled artisans delicately solder fine, flexible threads of precious metal, which are then twisted or curled into elegant, artistic motifs. This method, used for centuries, creates stunning designs such as scrollwork, lacy patterns, symmetrical Art Deco styles, and other captivating forms. In this case, the technique is applied to the Filigree Wristwear collection, which incorporates the King George VI - 1 Anna Coin from British India (minted between 1942-1945), adding historical significance to its exquisite craftsmanship. The 1 Anna coin, a symbol of the colonial era, enhances the collection’s uniqueness and timeless appeal.
